My friend Laird says it is Arminian in theology. I believe that is an over simplification, however, the congregation that I belonged to in Lebanon, Missouri definately believed in the "who-so-ever-will" doctrine. In most sermons I heard growing up there was a section near the end where the preacher would explain that you had a choice to make, that Jesus was standing there at door of your heart knocking, waiting for you to open the door to your heart. I developed a theology of the will. I believe without reservation that we were free to choose or not choose God and this would determine our eternal state. Was the New Testament Letters Only Written to Male Brothers?

  Question:   Was the Bible written to men only and not to women?   Some teach that the New Testament letters address brothers exclusively.      Executive Summary Answer:   Women and men share in the blessings of the gospel, Scripture was written for both women and men. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Gen. 1:27 ESV) Answer:   The Bible recognizes differences between genders but also recognizes the commonality between male and female genders.   The book of Proverbs is written to sons to gain wisdom.   “Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching, for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck.”   (Prov. 1:8-9 ESV) The book of Proverbs was written in order to teach young men wisdom.   Even so, often it is the female gender that teaches wisdom.   Early in the book, the male gender,...

If you want to participate, the instructions follow my answers to the questions Rebeccah asks of me. 1. What is geocaching and how long have you been doing it? Geocaching is exploring someplace with a gadget. Geocaching is finding a little treasure someone else has hidden. Hiding and finding are more important in geocaching than what it is that you hid or found. Geocaching is an excuse to buy a cool gadget. What I meant to say was geocaching is a sport where the participants use the Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) receiver to find a cache that someone else has hidden. If you are unfamiliar with the term cache, one of its more traditional usages means hidden supply. A GPS receiver, or just GPS, is a special receiver which can tell you your location in the form of a coordinate.
